Stuff and More Stuff.
The BAD News:
So, I was happily knitting the back of my Must Have Cardigan, when I decided it was a good idea to make sure it was as wide as it ought to be...
I swatched. But. I am knitting tighter than my swatch, the back is two inches smaller than it ought to be. Two sizes smaller than I intended it to be.
I am beginning to think perhaps I am not a knitter after all. I dread ripping out. I am in holding pattern, again. Just like I was with the socks I put aside in order to knit this fabulous sweater.
The GOOD News:
This weekend was so much fun! We went our friends house, went out for dinner and had a party! We brought pin the tail of the donkey, pirate hats
and party favors.
These are supposed to get 600% bigger in water... (haven't heard an update yet).
We enjoyed our friends D-- and J----- and thier canine campanion Luke!
Then, on Sunday, we went to see Avenue Q on Broadway. Which was fantastic! I recommend it. Go find out what the fuzz it is all about!
arrghhh!!!..soryy aboout your sweater episode...though I am a new knitter and don't know what it means to "swatch"....do tell...
PS you must know that you were my inspiraation to FINALLY complete a pair of socks (2 now and working on #3!...amazing!)...toe-up and two at a time...found a recipe online...after wishing and wishing for the "crazy toes" book to show up in my mailbox...it didn't...can't remember the total web address but it had the words "ingrid knit" in it if you are searching for another way....I'm totally hooked! thanks!
