OK. I just need to say that the publisher who has my book proposal emailed a Dear Jane letter today. She is/was super nice, very helpful, gave further suggestions and all.
But still.
Rejection.
My take on this process is totally water-off-a-ducks-back. Next publisher, please!
But I did have hopes and dreams.
I think my next step is to approach agents.
Oh, boo on them! That is sad news, but obviously they don't recognize talent when they see it. Sorry! On the other hand, so often famous writers/artists can paper their bathroom with rejection slips before one finally recognizes their greatness, so you are in excellent company. Keep trying!
