This was a week of packages!
A few weeks back I traded a teddy bear for yarn and BOY did Abby do well by me! She even sent a wonderful little felted purse, I am enamoured by it! She went all out! Candy, beads, soap, toys and a book! The English Patient, which I have never read.
Deb, over at More Whiffs, Glimmers & Left Oeuvres:: sent some Warn (I mean warm, I just keep typing warn) and Natural batting for me to try out.
And Kristine Mays....

sent me these "little pieces of nothingness", (her words) for me to use in rusting fabrics. I want to... I really do... but Kristine's work amazes me.
It is the kind of thing that makes me pause and wonder why she ever stopped to wonder how she could sculpt with little bits of wire. I wonder if she has cut up and beaten hands and if they hurt after she completes a piece.
I will use them to rust up some cloth because that is the spirit in which they were given, but I am going to enjoy them too.
yay!!! i'm so glad you got the package and liked the stuffs i sent!
have a fabulous weekend!
Posted by: abby at April 1, 2006 11:26 AMIt's fun to see my pieces on your blog! Glad you liked them. I'll have to send you a heart you can simply hang up and adore so that you can experiment with those pieces, rusting them and not feeling badly...
