Monk almost got eatten by a dog today. Which puts everything into perspective. Monk survived. I saw the dog in question lift Monk up off the floor and Monks back leg stuck straight out. Then I screamed, the dog put Monk down and the dog was removed from the house. He was put in dog prison.
Monk totally recovered though. This video clip was taken aften the fact.
Hm. Well. I guess I am not going to tell the story of how Monk almost got absconded with, dragged off into the mountainous woods around the house and devoured.
Because Monk now tells the story totally different than it happened. Monk bit the dogs ankles as he tried to sweep Monk off his paws unsuccessfully. The Dog yelped in pain and Monk and arrow held the dog at bay, whining and cowering in the corner for hours, until the dog was led away shame-faced by his owner.
He looks that fierce, doesn't he?
oh, I just love to hear a kitty purr! so glad monk survived physically and emotionally!

(He obviously doesn't get the blog thing.) I'm going with Monk's story. He's the man. Plus, he can pee better than anyone I know, that counts for a lot.
