Cosmic Loot
Perhaps the largess coming my way is due to it being my Birthday Month, or perhaps good karma is coming my way, This fantastically amorphous hat appeared with some books on spinning and a book of poems; The Very Stuff.
That last is a link to The Library Thing, a social networking site based on the books you have in your collection. You need an account, but it is EASY to get one and well...
Anyway. If Deb knew the 'Hat Climate', if there is such a thing, she would know that Flagstaff is the time and place for this hat!! And it is so very Deb, I love it. I think it is made of Recycled Sari Yarn, Crocheted, even.
I love it. I can have a pony tail and a short hairstyle all in one day. It makes me think of an octopus, and octopus are smart, sentient. Not to mention, pretty. But I digress.
A, who'd given me the spindle in the last post, also gave me a set of Hand Carders. Am I in yarn heaven? I may be having an identity crisis of passions. I am a fiber artist, need I limit myself to textiles only? You, dear reader, if you haven't fled from lack of posting in the last seven months, might think I had gone over to the knit side of the plank.
There is much happening behind the curtain, but I cannot speak of it or show it. Secret stuff. Good stuff. It is difficult to have done all this and not be able to show it.
And then there is JJ, who made and embellished a bunch of stuff for my birthday. Thanks J. I am very proud and happy for JJ. Glad she is a part of my life.
