Last week, I took a hike, hit the park, went on holiday!
It was fun and interesting. My friend JJ has moved to Provincetown. She has new digs and wanted to show them off. So I took the Bolt Bus to Boston and the Fast Ferry to P-Town. So here is my photo montage of the week.

This piece looks as though it is a lino cut rhino, or a speedo rubber stamp. I couldn't resist the message below it either.

On my way, I saw this art, which I have also seen on the streets of Brooklyn. I really like this. What I don't like is that I can't figure out whose graffiti art this is! Darn it.

This is a blustery photo of myself, digging the Fast Ferry. I liked the ferry so much I could have turned right around and done it again and again. The trip to P-Town was choppy, turbulent and filled with sea foam spray. High Adventure to be sure.

While in P-Town, I took every opportunity to draw. These moments felt enriching and inspiring.

It has been many years since I have writen as a form of expression within the pages of my journal. I chose back then to draw, to say what I need to with cross hatching, line, color, paint and engaged seeing. I can read each page as though there are written words and I can tell you of the emotion that was spent during the time I drew those pages.
What fun.

Sounds like a great trip, and your drawings are superb. Please send me a jpg of the photo of the red star boat, I love it.
Well, you're getting me to draw in my journal for the first time and it's very exciting! It is also exhausting, as I am not trained at all and it takes such work and concentration to just get the page. I am wishing I had the effortless sketching thing down, but I am hoping that with time...?
I love your Provincetown drawing. Who needs photos???
What's the matter? Left your head bone thingy home?
Love the new hair do! You look like you are having fun. Is P-town in Rhode Island or NY? I love the journal sketch. The beach is where I want to live when I win the lottery. Absolutely my favorite spot on earth. Shanna has voiced my frustration with sketching so well. Have a great week!
I meant to say yours was a gorgeous page. Though I love Jill's too!
