A Hussie of a Hankie

Another box made it to Casa Melly. I am feeling a sense of Largess Beyond Measure.

And I mean, just look at that picture up there. What humble hankie could stand up to the shiny hussie from France. I mean. There are flowers, ribbons and charmeuse all in one darned hankie. Pretty good if you ask me. But there are hundreds of Hankies in this gift. Hundreds.

Life is changing. The tools, my thoughts. It is time for me to start sharing! In the new year I will open up about my plans.

Look at the color here. I have been giving much thought to textures here in New York City. I am taking photographs and cataloging my experience. It is fun. I am happy to be alive. I am happy to be able.

We have been meandering again. I love meandering the city. When was the last time you saw this font?

I feel blessed, like roses in December. Thank you.

Hi Melanie, I am catching up on reading blogs--my semester just finished at CSU--I would love to be a part of the Rockstar Boro sewing--I joined flicker and uploaded my latest re-create on an old garment. Think I have my item selected for the Boro project, an old flannel shirt that was my Grandfathers. It is tearing and wearing, but I love it!! not sure that it is very "rockstar" but have a fabulous piece of animal print that works well with the plaid...love what you are doing with the red, orange and pink velvet!! very yummy to the eyes!! big hugs to you!

Of course, join in! By all means. Rockstar or no, sewing together is fun.

Glad it arrived safely--and so quickly! I think you need more photos so people can feel the overwhelm of So Much. I couldn't believe how many linens she'd collected.

Bountiful treasures! I wait with anticipation to hear what creative journey you are embarking. xoxo

Hi Melanie, As 2011 comes to an end, I am taking time to be thankful for the pleasures it has brought. Opening each of your posts has been like opening a small gift, with your thoughtful words, beautiful photos and amazing, inspiring creations. Thanks for blogging.
