I spy something "not a hankie" under that amazing avalanche!
My fingers are itching to do some embroidery. (I am envious of your beautiful rose). I think this week I will begin to embellish the kimono just a little (just to get me going on it, to break the fear of doing it.)

Hankie mountain--so inviting! Lush, plush reds, so sensuous! Blessings abound.

And I thought I had a good hankie stash! LOL Beautiful wordless post!

I think I see a hanky skirt in your future. ;) I also see some artwork peeking out. The rose is beautiful in the candle light. Is that a piece of foreign currency? I love the wing on the angel. Enjoy your day and bask in the glow from your rockstar boro. xoxo

Merry Christmas Melanie.

Hi, Melanie. I inherited a handkerchief stack/collection (not quite as tall as yours) from my mom. When I finally sat down to look at them, I was bowled over by the beauty of some of the very old ones. New respect. Somehow, I think it's sad that your stack was sold off rather than loved by family, but those handkerchiefs landed in good hands. Your flower embroidery is sumptuous. Happy holiday stitching!
best, nadia
