I am getting those snaps back on there!

Progress has been slow this week. I am in the process of editing and I am supposed to be writing a magazine article and today I got tired! But I made a commitment to self to blog everyday, so although short and succinct, here I am.
We don't have cable television but we do like to rent serial tv shows, anyone have a favorite that I might try out? Time to couch potato.

I've been watching a PBS series from the 90s called The House of Eliot. Shirley got it from Bunny and recommended it to me. I got it from Netflix.
I agree...this was a good series with great period costumes
The Closer (Kyra Sedgewick plays a police detective) has humor. McLeod's Daughter's (the earlier series) is good. Two step sisters run a sheep ranch in Australia. Doc Martin is a good PBS show. (We don't have cable either, so I am not up on the shows there.)
Do you read aloud to yourself to edit? One of my English profs taught me that trick. Any errors will leap off the page when read aloud. Time for cat packs and stitching.
The #1 Ladies Detective Agency is good also. The fabric in the clothing is fantastic. http://www.hbo.com/the-no-1-ladies-detective-agency/index.html
Pushing Daisies, Dr. Who, bbc sitcom called "The Vicar of Dibley"
Enjoy a rest for me... wishing I had time to watch TV.
The Vicar of Dibley is funny. I enjoyed it.
I would highly recommend White Collar - good characters, good plots, intelligent commentary.

One of my all-time faves was NYPD Blue... finished all seasons a couple of months ago. Prior to that, watched Hill Street Blues, another favorite. Sounds like you're a busy gal... do let yourself veg a little, no matter what you watch! Naps are good, 'specially with a furry critter on your lap! Ask me how I know...
If you like documentaries, you might like Morgan Spurlock's 30 Days. Each episode chronicles two people spending 30 days with each other -- they are always from very different experiences, attitudes or backgrounds: a evangelical Christian and an atheist, a pro life advocate and a pro choice advocate, some one who lives "off the grid" and someone from a big city, etc.
Better Off Ted-it's on Netflix Instant View and hilarious, so of course cancelled. From the library: 1940's House, Manor House, Colonial House, Texas Ranch House, all excellent PBS series where real people try living in the era of the series (and see if they would have survived in some cases)also The Colony (Netflix)
